Annette Funicello did not only sing or act, but also performed. She is best remembered as being one of the Mickey Mouse Club's original Mouseketeers. At the age of a teen, her singing career began. Her popularity grew due to songs like 'Tall Paul 'and "Pineapple Princess. Annette was raised by Italian immigrants in Utica as a child and is an extremely shy person. In an effort to create her name in the world of entertainment she started to perform and act. In the mid-1950s, she played in numerous Disney sketches in the role of part of one the "Mouseketeers" and gained considerable popularity. Annette could shed the "Disney" persona she cultivated when she was a kid and took on a variety of adult character. Her most famous role is being among the very first actors to introduce the genre "beach events". Her roles included "Pajama Parties", 'How to stuff a wild bikini", and "Beach Party'.
